Sister Mary Albina CSC, 87, died today in St. Mary’s Convent after a lengthy illness. Born Dec, 29, 1888 in South Bend as Wilhemina Bauer, she entered the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross at St. Mary’s on May 24, 1910. She was received as a novice on Dec. 10, 1910 and professed her vows on Dec. 10, 1912. She was assigned to teaching and ancilary services having sered in Holy Cross Convents in South Bend and Notre Dame. She also had served in LaPorte, Elkhart, Union City, Hammond, Crawfordsville, Plymouth and Gary. She had lived at Our Lady of Holy Cross Convent from 1962 to 1972. Survivors include two sisters, Sister M. Helen Joseph CSC of St. Mary’s Convent and Sister M. DeLourdes CSJ of St. Joseph Convent in Tifton, Ind.

 

Friends may call up to the time of services in the convent parlors where rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in Our Lady of Loretto Church, with burial in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery on the campus.
