MISHAWAKA - Arnold C. Bays, 83, of 1019 Jackson St., died at 2:30 a.m. Tuesday in the home of his daughter on Panama Street after an illness. Mr. Bays retired in 1975 from Bendix Automotive after 30 years. He was born Dec. 22, 1910, in Evansville, Ind. In 1935, in South Bend, he married Mary E. Howard. She survives, with a daughter, Mary Lou Brockway of Mishawaka; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was a member of Seventh-day Adventist Church, South Bend.
Memorial services will be held at a later date. Cremation will take place. There will be no visitation. Bubb Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Seventh-day Adventist Community Services.
MISHAWAKA - Memorial services for Arnold C. Bays, 83, of 1019 Jackson St., who died May 24 in the home of his daughter on Panama Street, will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in First Seventh-day Adventist Church, South Bend. Cremation has taken place. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery. Bubb Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
