Marjorie M. Beckwith

SOUTH BEND - Marjorie M. (Morse) Beckwith, 77, residing in South Bend, passed away Saturday, July 10, 2010, in St. Vincent's Hospital, Trussville, Alabama. She was born December 15, 1932, in Cassopolis, MI, the daughter of George and Marion Morse, and had lived in this area all of her life. She is survived by her two sons, Mark (Cheryl) Jenkins of South Bend and Michael (Linda) Jenkins of Mishawaka; her daughter, Julie Smith of Mishawaka; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Robert (Shirley) Lamb and George (Cathy) Morse, and a sister, Carol Allison, all of Michigan. Marge graduated from Cassopolis High School and lived in the South Bend area where she retired from Wilt's Super Market. She loved spending time with family and friends, had an amazing green thumb, and made some of the best pies in the country. Marge always had time for anyone in need. A Service of Remembrance will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, July 25th, in Maple Grove United Methodist Church, 22019 New Road, South Bend (1 1/2 miles west of U.S. 31 S. at the corner of New & Maple). Rev. Michael Jenkins will officiate. The family will receive friends beginning at 12:30 p.m. Sunday in the church. Contributions may be made to the Humane Society of St. Joseph County or to the American Diabetes Association
