SOUTH BEND - Ella Louise Becsei, 68, of Sheridan Avenue, died at 9:45 a.m. Saturday in Memorial Hospital of natural causes. Mrs. Becsei retired in 1995 from the payroll department of South Bend Community School Corp. She was born Oct. 21, 1927, in Kingsbury and was a lifetime area resident.
On Jan. 25, 1946, in South Bend, as Ella Louise Dill, she married Steve Becsei Sr. He survives with a daughter, Karen Mazuchowski of LaPorte; two sons, Steve Jr. of Glendale, Ariz., and Michael of Michigan; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Phyllis Erp of South Bend; and a brother, James Dill of Mishawaka. She was a member and past senior regent of Women of the Moose Lodge 58.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive. Cremation will take place. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in the funeral home, where Women of the Moose will conduct a memorial service at 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Ronald McDonald House.
