Jay Edward Beehler, 70, a retired businessman, died Monday, Dec. 31, 2001 in Melbourne, Fla. Born in Mishawaka, IN, he came to Brevard County in 1986 from Indiana.

Mr. Beehler was a 1957 graduate of Ball State University. He was also a past president of the Indiana State School Board and served on the Penn-Harris-Madison School Board in Mishawaka. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Beehler and a son, Phil Beehler, both of Melbourne, Fla.
