Thelma M. Beehler

Thelma M. Beehler, age 71, of 59735 Ash Rd., Osceola, died unexpectedly at 10:45 A.M., Sunday, September 17, 2000, at Elkhart General Hospital, where she had been admitted Saturday morning. She was born July 8, 1929, in Elkhart to Ed and Caroline Laidig Neff.

 

She married George E. Beehler, March 26, 1949, in Dunlap. They have enjoyed 51 years together. He survives with 1 son, Edward W. (Sue) Beehler, Goshen; 3 daughters, Mrs. Ron (Marilyn) Havens, South Bend, Mrs. Joe (Sharon) Reynolds, Porter, and Mrs. David (Gail) Angelmyer, Osceola. She is also survived by her mother, Caroline Germann, Elkhart; a brother, John Neff, Union, MI; and 10 grandchildren, Angie and Troy Havens, Chad, Amy and Ross Beehler, Rachel and Luke Reynolds, and Jenny Beehler, Ryan and Grant Anglemyer.

 

Mrs. Beehler was a graduate of Concord High School. She farmed with her husband for 44 years. She had worked at Dwyers in Wakarusa for 15 years and had also operated Yogi's Yogurt in South Bend. She enjoyed gardening, reading, fishing and listening to Jimmy Swygart Music. She was a member of the Calvary Assembly of God on Mishawaka Road in Elkhart, where she was active with funeral dinners and was a former Sunday School teacher.

 

Friends may call Tuesday, 2-4 and 6-8 at the Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home in Wakarusa. Funeral services will be Wednesday, at 10:30 A.M., at the Calvary Assembly of God, where friends may call 1 hour prior to the services. Officiating will be Pastor El Marrone and Pastor Paul Furrow. Burial will be in Olive Cemetery, Wakarusa. Memorial contributions may be made to the Calvary Assembly of God.
