SOUTH BEND - Elizabeth E. Bella, 77,
of Prairie Avenue, died at 8:30 p.m. Saturday in her home of
natural causes. Mrs. Bella retired from Uniroyal, Mishawaka,
after 34 years. She was born Aug. 27, 1917, in Decatur, Mich.,
and moved to South Bend 58 years ago.
On April 20, 1938, in South Bend, as
Elizabeth Vliek, she married Steven Bella. He survives
with two daughters, Georgia Bella of Mishawaka and Gloria Manuszak
of Mendon, Mich.; a son, David A. of Walkerton; nine
grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Grace McCullough
and Ann Sharp, both of Mishawaka; four brothers, Harry
Vliek of Decatur, George Vliek Jr. of Hammond, Ind., Ted Vliek of
Portage, Mich., and Ward Vliek of Paw Paw.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in
Zahoran Funeral home. Burial will be in Sumption Prairie
Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in
the funeral home.
