John O. Bellavich

Jan. 27, 1917 - Dec. 18, 1996

John O. Bellavich, 79, of Lynn Street, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away at 9:45 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18, in the St. Joseph Community Hospital, Mishawaka.

John was born in Mishawaka on Jan. 27, 1917, to Michael and Thresa Bellavich, who preceded him in death. John worked as general foreman for the South Bend Park Department, retiring in 1980.

He married Ruby I. Lovell in Mishawaka on June 19, 1971, who survives along with one son, John P. Bellavich of Oakland, Calif.; four step-daughters, Susan E. Martin, Judy K. Breden, Barbara R. Gorsuch, all of Mishawaka, and Patricia J. Voss of South Bend; 15 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today in the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main St., Mishawaka.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, in the funeral home, with burial in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
