Sister M. Innocenza CSC, 84, of St. Mary’s Convent died Sunday night in the convent after an extended illness. Born Jan. 15, 1890 in Adelhausen, Germany, as Marie Alburga Bell, she entered the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross on June 7, 1923. She was received as a novice Jan. 6, 19824 and professed her vows on Aug. 15, 1926. Assigned to housekeeping and dietary departments, she had served at St. Joseph Hospital, South Bend, St. Joseph School and the Holy Cross Convent and the student infirmary at Notre Dame.

 

Services wiil be at 3:30 p.m. today in Our Lady of Loretto Church, with burial in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery at St. Mary’s.
