MISHAWAKA - Esther M. Beutter, 91, of Mishawaka, passed away Wednesday, May 23, in Southfield Village, South Bend.

 

Surviving is her husband of 66 years, Albert. Friends may call 4 to 8 p.m. Friday in Thallemer, Goethals & Wells Funeral Home, Mishawaka, where services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday. Memorials may be made to the Perley Primary Center. Published in the South Bend Tribune on 5/24/2007.

MISHAWAKA - Esther M. (Crofoot) Beutter, 91, of Mishawaka, passed away early Wednesday morning, May 23, 2007, in Southfield Village, South Bend. Esther was born March 18, 1916, in Mishawaka.

 

On February 15, 1941, she married Albert Beutter and they celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary this year. Esther graduated from Mishawaka High School and Central Normal College in Danville, Indiana. She received bachelor's and master's degrees from Bethel College in Mishawaka. Esther was a school teacher for 30 years. She taught in the Penn Township Schools and the South Bend Community School Corporation where she taught many years at Perley Elementary School. Esther's hobbies included china painting, needle work, and she was an excellent cook. Esther is survived by her husband, Albert; a nephew, George (Zuella) Beutter; nieces, Lois (Carl W.) Yoder and Delores Schlarb; and several great-nephews and great-nieces.

 

Visitation for family and friends will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today in Thallemer, Goethals & Wells Funeral Home, 503 W. Third Street, Mishawaka. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home, with Rev. Erv Mize officiating. Burial will follow at Ferrisville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Esther's memory may be made to the Perley Primary Center. Envelopes are available in the funeral home.
