Louis F. Beutter, of 1509 S. Fellows St., died Saturday in the Veteran’s Administration Hospital, Marion, Ind. He was born April 11, 1889 in South Bend. He married Catherine Wartha Aug. 11, 1920 in South Bend. Surviving with his wife are a son, Brother Benignus, C.S.C., Sherman Oaks, Cal.; a daughter, Mrs. W. E. Fischelis Jr., of Philadelphia; a brother, George Henry, of Calumet City, Ill.; and two grandchildren.

Friends may call in the Hickey Funeral Home after 7 p.m. Monday. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, Rt. Rev. Msgr. Arnold J. Wibbert officiating. Burial will be in City Cemetery.

The Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. He was a veteran of World War I and a life member of Disabled American Veterans South Bend Chapter 6.

BEUTTER – Members of the Daughters of Isabella, Notre Dame Circle, will recite the rosary at 7 p.m. today in the Hickey Funeral Home for Louis F. Beutter, 1509 S. Fellow St., who died Saturday. The parish rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. today in the funeral home. Pallbearers for the services at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Matthew’s Church will be Edward, Anthony, Henry, and Lawrence Wartha, Garold Brothers and Paul Berndt. Burial will be in City Cemetery.

Note:  Louis Frederick Beutter is son to Jakob K. Beutter and Barbara (Franz) Beutter.
