George N. Bickel

George N. Bickel, 66, of 59215 Beech, died at 4:30 p.m. Friday in St. Joseph Hospital, where he had been a patient for three weeks.  He was born Oct. 9, 1908 in Mishawaka and had lived here his lifetime.  He retired from Uniroyal, Inc. in 1971 after 37 years employment.  On Aug. 1, 1936 in Fairfield, Ill., he married Opal D. McKay, who survives.

Also surviving are three sons, Raymond L. Bickel of Mishawaka, Roy A. Bickel of Rochester and James W. Clark, stationed with the U.S. Air Force in the Philippines; nine grandchildren; three brothers, Charles, Robert and Donald Bickel, and two sisters, Miss Dorothy Bickel and Mrs. Gladys Havens, all of Mishawaka.  Friends may call after 3 p.m. Monday in the Bubb Funeral Chapel.  Memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church, of which Bickel was a member.

Services for George N. Bickel, 66, of 59215 Beech, who died Friday in St. Joseph Hospital, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Bubb Funeral Chapel.  Rev. Raymond D. Harris, D. D., pastor of the First Christian Church, will officiate; burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Garden, Osceola.  Friends may call at the funeral chapel from 3 to 9 p.m. Monday and until time of services on Tuesday.
