Mrs. Mary Frances Bickel

A lifetime resident of Mishawaka, Mrs. Mary Frances Bickel, 82, of 302 E. Borley Ave., died at 2:15 a.m. today in the Osteopathic Hospital, South Bend.  She had been ill only a few days.  The former Mary Frances Marsh was born in Mishawaka.  On Sept. 5, 1893 she married Nicholas M. Bickel in this city.  He died June 2, 1957.

Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Paul Britton, and Mrs. Robert Havens, of Mishawaka, Mrs. Robert Riffel, of Edwardsburg, and Mrs. Dorothy Bickel at home; five sons, Joseph Bickel, of Michigan City, Ind., and Charles, Robert, Donald and George Bickel, all of Mishawaka; 21 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; two nieces and one nephew.

Friends may call at the Bubb Chapel after 7 p.m. today and until the funeral services there at 1 p.m. Friday.  Rev. Raymond D. Harris, pastor of the First Christian Church, will officiate and burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

Last rites for Mrs. Mary Frances Bickel, 82, of 302 E. Borley Ave., who died Wednesday morning, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in the Bubb Chapel.  Rev. Raymond D. Harris, pastor of the First Christian Church of which Mrs. Bickel was a member, will officiate.  Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Robert, James and William Bickel, of Michigan City, and Jack and Robert Rieffel and Thomas Weisweaver, of Mishawaka.
