Stella Biebuyck (Jan. 26, 1914 - Aug. 21, 2007)

SOUTH BEND - Stella Biebuyck, 93, passed away at 12:40 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 21, in Fountainview Place, Mishawaka. Stella was born on January 26, 1914, in South Bend, to the late Stanley and Hattie (Brekus) Prentkowski. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Biebuyck; two sisters, Theresa Grayzck and Henrietta Goepfrich; a brother, Alfred; and by a son, Ralph. She is survived by her son, Lawrence (Barbara) Biebuyck of Dallas, TX; two grandchildren, Bradley and Jill Laningham; a great-granddaughter, Kaitlyn Laningham; two sisters, Loretta Futa and Janette Jasinski, both of North Liberty; and two brothers, Ernest Prentkowski and Marion Stachowiak, both of South Bend. Stella worked for Bendix making parts for the B-17 bomber during WWII. She retired in 1976 from Seeley's Boot Shop. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, South Bend. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 24, in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery, South Bend.
