Victoria Bilinski

June 2, 1908June 9, 1985

 

Victoria Bilinski, 77, of 2615 Humboldt St., died at 2am Sunday in her home.

 

She was born June 2, 1908, in Pittsburgh and lived in the South Bend area most of her life.  On July 3, 1928, in South Bend, as Victoria Bronkosky, she married Joseph B. Bilinski, who survives.  Also surviving are a daughter, Jessie Stoddard of Mishawaka; five sons, Ronald and Thomas Bilinski and Bob Shaw, all of South Bend.  Joseph O’Connor of Mishawaka and Ed Copenhaver of Fort Lauderdale FL; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; four sisters, Lucille Agra of South Bend, Virginia Kubiak and May Hermann, both of Mishawaka, and Anna Wackowski of Pittsburgh; and a brother, John Bronkosky of South Bend.  Mrs. Bilinski and her husband were foster parents to 22 children in the Michiana area.

 

Mass of the Resurrection will be at 9am Wednesday in St John the Baptist Catholic Church and burial will be in St Joseph Cemetery.

 

Friends may call from 7 to 9pm today and 2 to 9pm Tuesday in Kaniewski & Sons Funeral Home, where a parish rosary will be recited at 7:30pm Tuesday.  Mrs. Bilinski was a member of the Altar & Rosary Society and the Retirees Club, both at St John’s.
