Anita Birocci

MISHAWAKA - Anita ''Nina'' Birocci, 92, of Tanglewood Trace passed away at 12:55 p.m. Sunday in St. Joseph Community Hospital, Mishawaka, after an illness.

Mrs. Birocci was born Jan. 6, 1905, in Sant Arcangelo, Italy. On Feb 16, 1921, in Fort Dodge Iowa, she married Giovanni ''John'' Birocci, he preceded her in death on Oct. 11, 1974. Mrs. Birocci is survived by two sisters, Celina Mori of Fort Dodge, and Julia Dayton of Leigh, Iowa; and a brother, Pete Garatoni of Fort Dodge. A brother, Fred Garatoni preceded her in death on March 27, 1996. Mrs. Birocci is also survived by several nieces and nephews, Larry Garatoni, Karol Harsanyi, Richard Dayton, John Dayton, Anita De Koch, Mary Ellen Summerlin, Mike Garatoni, Teresa George, Rose Marie Skogmo, and Bill Mori.

Funeral mass will be Tuesday July 8, at 10 a.m. in St. Bavo's Catholic Church, Mishawaka, with Rev. William Sullivan officiating. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. Eighth St., Mishawaka, where a wake service will be at 3:30 p.m.
