Julius Birocci

Julius Birocci, 77, of 524 W. 9th Street died at 6:45 p.m. Wednesday in his home after an illness of several months. Born in Santarcangelo di Romagna, Italy on March 1, 1901, he moved to Mishawaka in 1923 from Fort Dodge, Iowa. On Nov. 27, 1926 in South Bend, he married Irma Nicolini. She survives with a son, Richard D. of South Bend; a granddaughter; and two great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs Jack Brighi of Fort Dodge and Mrs. Vincent Clementi of Mishawaka.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the Halh-Peffley-DeVos Funeral Chapel where services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday. Rev. Robert Mahoney, assistant pastor of St. Bavo’s Catholic Church, will officiate, and burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. He retired in 1963 from the former Studebaker Corp. After 40 years of Employment. He was a member of the DeAmicis Club.
