Mildred E. Bishop, 92, passed away Sunday, November 13, 2005, in Wichita Falls, Texas. Mildred was born December 3, 1912, in South Bend, IN, to Eugene Ward and Teckela Dambacher Ward. She was a longtime member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church in South Bend, where she lived for 89 years.

In 1928 she married Walter E. Bishop. After 73 years of marriage, he preceded her in death in 2001. Mildred was also preceded in death by her son, Jack Bishop. Survivors include her son, Denny Bishop and his wife, Ann of Wichita Falls; two grandchildren, Debbie Gustafson and husband, Reno of Wichita Falls, and Den Bishop and wife, Lynn of Flower Mound, TX; and by four great-grandchildren, Ashton Gustafson, Ann-Hayden Gustafson, Caleb Bishop and Courtney Bishop.

Services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday in Corpus Christi Catholic Church. Burial will be held at Highland Cemetery, South Bend, Indiana, under the direction of Welsheimer Funeral Home, South Bend, IN. Local arrangements are under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home. The family will have a visitation 6:00 to 7:00 PM today, November 15, in the Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William, South Bend, IN 46616.
