SOUTH BEND - Jerald I. Black, 53, of
1044 Lincoln Way W., died at 5:41 p.m. Tuesday in Memorial
Hospital of natural causes. Mr. Black was a former employee of
the University of Notre Dame. He was born Dec. 17, 1940, in
Kankakee, Ill., and lived in this area since 1968, coming from
Valparaiso.
On May 17, 1975, in South Bend, he married
Linda Connelly. She died July 12, 1981. Surviving is his
mother, Mary L. Black of Valparaiso; his sister, Janet Stowers
of Valparaiso; a niece; and two nephews. A daughter, Lisa Black,
died in 1979.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in
Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St. Burial will be in
Highland Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to services
Friday in the funeral home.
