SOUTH BEND - Willard E. ''Tim'' Blad, 67, of Grand Rapids, formerly of South Bend, died about 3 a.m. Friday in his home of natural causes. Mr. Blad retired from Martin Blad Farms, South Bend. He was born Sept. 28, 1927, in Grovertown and lived in South Bend until 1980.
On Aug. 16, 1980, in Grand Rapids, he married Ruth Vander Molen. She survives with a sister, Loraine Wildey of South Bend, and two brothers, Martin of South Bend and Melvin of Plymouth. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of Donaldson Lutheran Church and the Alano Club, Grand Rapids.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Hollis-Orvis-Palmer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Sumption Prairie Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
