SOUTH BEND - Services for Mary Ann Bland,
106, of 1628 Sibley Ave., who died at 11:30 a.m. Thursday in St.
Joseph's Medical Center after an illness, will be at 2 p.m.
Tuesday in Alford's Mortuary. Burial will be in Highland
Cemetery. Friends may call one hour before services in the
funeral home.
Mrs. Bland was born Oct. 10, 1888, in
Huntsville, Ala. She is survived by two daughters, Alzada Walton
of North Carolina and Gertrude Coleman of South Bend;
two sons, Robert of South Bend and Jesse of Kansas City, Mo.; 27
grandchildren; 67 great-grandchildren; 28
great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Julia Williams of
Memphis, Tenn.
