Theresa M. Blasko

Mishawaka - Mrs. Theresa M. Blasko, 89, of 921 Willow, died at 8 p.m. Sunday in St. Joseph Hospital following an illness of one year.

 

Born in Kiralyhaza, Hungary, April 15, 1886, she came to Mishawaka in 1906 from  Chicago.

 

As Theresa M. Szollosi she married John Blasko Sr. in Chicago Feb. 10, 1907. He died Sept. 10, 1969.

 

Surviving four daughters, Mrs. Helen Mandick of South Bend and Mrs. Rose Hall, Mrs. Ann Petsovich and Mrs. Mary Sweeney, all of Mishawaka; and five sons, John F., Andrew, Michael, Joseph, Anthony and Frank, all of Mishawaka; 19 grandchildren; 15 great- grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Emma Tanyko of Chicago and the Misses Julia and Anna Szollosi of Kiralyhaza, and a brother, Emery Szolllosi of Kiralyhaza.

 

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the Bubb Funeral Chapel, where the rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Tuesday.

 

Mrs. Blasko was a member of St. Monica’s Catholic Church.

Services for Mrs. Theresa M. Blasko, 89, of 921 Willow, who died Sunday in St. Joseph Hospital, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Monica’s Catholic Church. Rev. William Gieranowski. Pastor, will officiate and burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

 

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today where the rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. today.
