Brother Lucian (Martin) Blersch CSC, 85, of the University of Notre Dame, died at 7:05 a.m. Saturday in Dujarie House at Notre Dame, after suffering a heart attack. He was born July 17, 1900 in Buffalo, N.Y., and entered the Brothers of Holy Cross, in Watertown, Wis. He received his religious habits in 1923; made his first vows in 1924, and professed his final vows in 1927, at Notre Dame. In 1939 he received a bachelors degree from St. Edward’s University, Austin, Texas, and received a masters degree from Notre Dame. He taught from 1927 to 1985 in the order’s South-West Province. He is survived by two brothers.

 

Funeral arrangements are pending in Austin, Texas, and burial will be at the Assumption Cemetery in Austin.
