SOUTH BEND - Rena Bloode, 76, of Lexington Avenue, died at 4:10 a.m. today in Memorial Hospital after an illness. Mrs. Bloode was born March 21, 1919, in Kalamazoo and lived in South Bend since 1955.
In 1943, as Rena Kuiper, she married Buryl Bloode. He died Dec. 18, 1991. She is survived by a son, Ron of North Liberty; two grandchildren; four sisters, Ann Youngblood, Grace Smith, and Lucy Terpstra, all of Kalamazoo, and Hattie DeYound of Florida; and four brothers, John, Harm, and Jerry Kuiper, all of Kalamazoo, and Koert Kuiper of Florida.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph Funeral Home. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
