Wayne E. Blosser

SOUTH BEND: Wayne E. Blosser, 77, of Wayne Circle, South Bend, passed away at 9:45 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center after an extended illness. Mr. Blosser was born on Oct. 11, 1926, in South Bend, and was a lifetime resident of the Michiana area.

 

On June 30, 1951, in South Bend, he married the former Joan E. Stroup, who survives. Also surviving is a son, Ron W. (Phyllis) Blosser, North Liberty, IN; and two grandsons, Brian and Matthew Blosser, whom he loved and cherished. Also a sister, Jane (Max) Lynn, Sebring, Fla., and a brother, Richard (Judy) Blosser, South Bend.

 

Mr. Blosser retired from the former Bendix Corporation in South Bend after 38 years of service. He was also a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. Wayne was a very kind, caring and wonderful husband, father and grandfather who always placed his family first. He will not only be missed by his loving family, he will be missed by all who knew him.

 

Their will be no visitation hours and a private family burial will take place today, Dec. 16, at 11 a.m. at Sumption Prairie Cemetery. Rev. Tim Stewart of the North Liberty Church of Christ officiating. The family request that all memorial contributions be made to the St. Joseph County Heart Association or to the St. Joseph County Kidney Foundation. The HANLEY & Son "Southwest Chapel" Funeral Home, located at West Ireland Road/Indiana 23, South Bend, handled the arrangements and services and extend deepest sympathy and heartfelt prayers to the Blosser family.
