Esther M. Blumenthal

June 5, 1910 - March 26, 1999

Esther M. Blumenthal, 88, of South Ironwood Drive, South Bend, Ind., died on Friday, March 26, in Saint Joseph's Regional Medical Center.

On June 5, 1910, in Russia, she was born to Abraham and Klara Yaffee. Esther was married for many years to Max Blumenthal, who died in 1971.

She is survived by her son, Dr. Elliott Blumenthal, MD of South Bend; and by two grandchildren, Matt and Rivki.

Esther was a member of the Hebrew Orthodox Congregation, South Bend.

Funeral services and burial were held on Sunday in the Hebrew Orthodox Cemetery, Mishawaka.

Forest G. Hay Funeral Home was in care of her arrangements.
