Mildred E. Boehnlein

Mildred E. Boehnlein, 93, passed away on Monday, September 11, 2006, in the Eaglewood Care Center in Springfield, OH. She was born June 23, 1913, in Carrollton, KY, to the late James Harrison and Sue Fay (Hayes) Pickett. Mildred is survived by a brother, Robert E. Pickett of Birmingham, AL; two sisters, Bonnie Jean Searcy of Carrollton, KY, and H. Fay Ray of Springfield, OH; along with 11 nieces and nephews.

 

Since the mid-1950s she had been a member of the First Baptist Church of Mishawaka, where she resided with her husband, Edward, who preceded her in death in 1963. Prior to her retirement she was employed by the Wheelabrator Corporation in Mishawaka. During her work life and retirement years she served various organizations with devotion and zeal. She was especially fond of her involvement with the Questors Club and Salvation Army. Her specialty with Questors was Wedgewood Collectibles, about which she became quite knowledgeable.

 

Friends may call from 10 a.m. until service time in the Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 N. Main St., Mishawaka. Funeral services for Mildred will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 14, 2006. Officiating the service will be Mildred's pastor, Rev. David Miller. Burial is to follow at the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola.
