Lester Paul Boggs
MISHAWAKA - Lester Paul Boggs, 86, of
Mishawaka, passed away Monday afternoon, December 11, 2006, in
Memorial Hospital, South Bend. Paul was born July 16, 1920, in
Alpena, South Dakota, a son of the late Glenn Wilber and Anna
Augusta (Gottschald) Boggs. He served his country in the U.S.
Merchant Marines during World War II. Paul was a retiree of Dodge
Manufacturing and was a life member of the Masonic Lodge.
On July 16, 1949, Paul married Joyce Dowd,
who survives. Other surviving family members include a daughter,
Catherine; a son, John; a granddaughter, Samantha; and a
grandson, Randy.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Heather in 1965.
The family will receive friends Friday from
10:00 to 11:00 a.m. in Thallemer, Goethals & Wells Funeral
Home, 503 West Third Street, Mishawaka. Masonic services will be
held in the funeral home Friday at 11:00 a.m., with Mishawaka
Lodge 130 F&AM officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph
Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Memorial contributions may be made
to the charity of one's choice.
