Sister M. Berenice Bolavert CSC, 89, of St. Mary’s Convent died there this morning after a brief illness. She was born April 15, 1889 in Bourbannais, Ill. and as Alive Bolavert, she entered the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross at St. Mary’s on Sept. 14, 1918, coming from Illinois. She was received as a novice on Aug. 15, 1919 and made her profession of vows on Auig. 15, 1921. She spent her entire community life as an elementary and secondary school teacher.She taught at schools in Indiana, Illinois, Texas, Utah and Washington DC. In 1970 she retired to Our Lady of Holy Cross and in 1977 transferred to St. Mary’s Convent.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wedneday in Our Lady of Loretto Church and burial will be in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery on the campus. Friends may call after 4 p.m. today
