Bollenbacher, eighty-four years old, a lifelong resident of this
community, died at midnight December 9 at the Bremen Nursing
Home, where he had been for several days. Mr. Bollenbacher
was a son of Peter B. and Margaret (Schlarb) Bollenbacher and was
born January 23, 1862, in St. Joseph County. In 1884 he was
married to Magdalena Fox, who died April, 1931. Since the
death of his wife Mr. Bollenbacher has made his home with his
daughter, Mrs. Forrest Haenes, in Bremen. Surviving
relatives are two daughters, Mrs. Josephine McCalmont of Plymouth
and Mrs. Haenes of Bremen; one son, John Bollenbacher of Inwood;
four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held this afternoon at two o'clock at the Huff Funeral Home. Rev. N. B. Wierwill, pastor of First Evangelical Reformed church, will officiate and burial will be in the Bremen cemetery.
