Jane (Pershing) Bongberg, 87, of Carson City, Nevada, formerly of Mishawaka, died August 14 in her home of natural causes. Her parents, Lloyd and Ada (Martin) Pershing, and only sister, Vera Watts, preceded her in death.

Mrs. Bongberg retired as a postmistress of the post office at Lathrop Wells, Nevada. Survivors include four nieces, Iris Walker, Carolyn Williamson and Brenda Rendall of Mishawaka and Janet Harbison of Center Ossipee, New Hampshire.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, August 20 at the Fairview Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel, with Rev. Dennis Ingle officiating. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are being handled by Bubb Funeral Chapel North. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637.
