James A. Boocher

South Bend – James A. Boocher, 62, of Myrtle Road, died at 7:40 p.m. Tuesday in Michiana Community Hospital after an illness.

 

Mr. Boocher was general manager of Nickell Enterprise Division of Patrick Industries Inc, Elkhart. He was born Oct. 16, 1931 in St. Joseph County, and was a lifelong resident.

 

On July 14, 1951, in South Bend he married Patricia Gaffigan. She survives with three daughters, Patricia A. Welty of Osceola, Sara J. Korpak of Mishawaka, and Margaret E. Papp of South Bend; five sons, Timothy C. of Plymouth, J. Michael and Hugh A., both of Atlanta, Sean E. of South Bend and Neal A. of Houston; 15 grandchildren, two sisters, Irene Anderson and Leona Fisher, both of South Bend; and three brothers, Lloyd and Elmer E., both of South Bend, and Richard of Granger.

 

He was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church.

 

Services will be at 10 a.m.  Friday, in Welsheimer Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
