Mrs. Helen M. Bookhamer, 84, of South Bend, Ind., passed away on Tuesday morning, June 27, in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center. She was born on Oct. 15, 1915, in Webster, S.D., to George Teske and Margaret Kuhen. She was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Teske.

On Aug. 18, 1950, in South Bend, she married Elmer R. "Dick" Bookhamer, who survives. She is also survived by a nephew, Timothy Teske of Boise, Idaho.

Mrs. Bookhamer retired from Midwest Producers Creameries where she was a purchasing agent. She was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church, and was a great gardener and loved all flowers.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 30, in the WELSHEIMER FUNERAL HOME NORTH, 17033 Cleveland Road, and burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home, and from one hour prior to services on Friday.
