Eldona B. Borden, 93, of Medco Center, South Bend, died about 1:20 p.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Hospital after an illness. She was a homemaker. S

he was born July 3, 1893, in Mishawaka, and was a life-long area resident.

In 1914, in Mishawaka, as Eldona Ort, she married George A. Borden. He died in 1960. Survivors include a daughter, Ruth A. Field, of Columbia, S. C.; a son, Robert O. of South Bend; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. A daughter, Jean F. Cook, died in 1956.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home chapel. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. until the time of services Saturday at the funeral home. She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church.
