Edward A. Borlik

SOUTH BEND - Edward Alex Borlik, 81, of South Brookfield Street, died at 11 a.m. Wednesday in his home. Mr. Borlik retired from RACO Inc. after 40 years of service. He was born Oct. 2, 1913, in North Liberty. In Terre Coupee, he married Jeannie J. Sowka. She survives with two daughters, Gerry Geyer of Elkhart and Barbara Ryan of Onalaska, Wis.; a son, Edward M. of Osceola; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two sisters, Evelyn Borlik of South Bend and Henrietta Borlik of North Liberty; and three brothers, Joseph of North Liberty, Leonard of South Bend and Stanley of Walkerton. He was a member of Holy Name Society, Ushers Club, Senior Citizens, a council member and eucharistic minister all of St. Casimir Catholic Church, International Electrical Workers Local 913 and RACO Retirees Club.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday in Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, where a rosary will be said at 2:30 p.m. by Senior Citizens and Holy Name Society and a vigil service at 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County Inc.
