SOUTH BEND - Martha I. Borowitz, 79, of Mayflower Road, died at 9:20 p.m. Friday in Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Borowitz was born Feb. 8, 1915, in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident.

On May 25, 1940, in South Bend, as Martha I. Ziolkowski, she married Joseph W. Borowitz. He survives with two sons, Ronald E. of Marshall, Mich., and David G. of South Bend; and a brother, Alex Ziolkowski of South Bend.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
