William Borsodi

July 2, 1900October 21, 1972

 

William Joseph Borsodi, 72, of 523 W. Marion St., died at 7:45am Saturday in Memorial Hospital after an illness of two weeks.  He was a maintenance engineer for the Town Tower Motel.

 

He was born on July 2, 1900, in Sopron Mege, Hungary.  He had lived here since 1906, coming from Hungary.  On June 27, 1925, he married Mary Rak, who survives.

 

Also surviving are three sons, William V. of Glen Ellyn IL and James Joseph and Robert Michael, both of South Bend; three daughters, Mrs. Mary Kathleen Mitchell of Tampa FL, Nancy Ann, at home and Mrs. Alice Rose Hayes of Mishawaka; three brothers, Nicholas, Joseph and Michael, all of South Bend, and two sisters, Mary Toth of South Bend and Mrs. Rose Krachov of Chicago.

 

Friends may call from 7 to 9pm Monday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm Tuesday in Welsheimer Funeral Home.

FUNERAL NOTES

Services will be conducted at 10:30am Wednesday in St Patrick’s Church for William J. Borsodi, 72, of 523 W. Marion St., who died Saturday.  Rev. George Schidel, assistant pastor, will officiate.

 

Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.  Friends may call from 7 to 9pm today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm Tuesday in the Welsheimer Funeral Home where a rosary will be recited at 2pm Tuesday by the Altar and Rosary Society of the church and a parish rosary will be recited at 7:30pm Tuesday.
