South Bend Tribune 5/31/1998

Margaret M. ''Marge'' Bostic, 78, of Douglas Road, Mishawaka, Ind., died at 8:12 a.m on Friday, May 29, in Memorial Hospital, South Bend, Ind. She was born on Nov. 29, 1919, in Arrowsmith, Ill., to Mary (Packard) and Edward Nice, who both have preceded her in death.

On Sept. 28, 1940, in Logansport, Ind., as Margaret M. Nice, she married Earl E. Bostic, who died on Nov. 22, 1991. Mrs. Bostic is survived by three sons, David Bostic of Redwood City, Calif., James Bostic of Edwardsburg, Mich., and Bruce Bostic of Mishawaka; her grandchildren, Mark, Nancy, Jimmy, Beth and Jeff; her great-grandchildren, Nicole, Dustin, Heather, Joshua and Jacob; and by two sisters, Josephine Colglazier of South Bend and Fran Richards of Los Angeles, Calif.

Mrs. Bostic was a retired beautician and was the owner of Mar-B Beauty Salon. She was a member of New Life Christian Fellowship and the St. Joseph County Hairdressers Association. Marge loved her Lord Jesus and was at peace with Him. Marge's life was a reflection of the glory of Christ that was in her heart. In July 1980, Marge injured her spine which left her paralyzed and even though the last 18 years of her life were a period of great pain and suffering, she always had a smile for everyone. She always lit up a room when she came into it. Marge's favorite scripture, ''The joy of the Lord is my strength,'' is an accurate commentary of her life.

A memorial service for Marge will be held at 4 p.m. on Tuesday in New Life Christian Fellowship, Mishawaka. Rev. John Staples will conduct the service. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday in the Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William Street, South Bend. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, South Bend. The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to New Life Christian Fellowship, 54700 Fir Road, Mishawaka, IN 46545.
