Stella M. Botka

Stella M. Botka, 85, formerly of South Bendix Drive, South Bend, Ind., died at 11:20 a.m. on Friday, April 13, in the Regency Nursing Home. She had been a lifelong resident of South Bend. Mrs. Botka was born on Nov. 4, 1915, in South Bend, to Simon and Catherine (Czapla) Pishnoff, who both preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Joan Cast; and by a brother, Henry Pishnoff.

 

She is survived by a daughter, Marilyn Cohee of South Carolina; a son, Ervin (Marilyn) Botka; a sister, Margaret Botka; two brothers, John (Helen) Pishnoff and Edward (Nancy) Pishnoff, all of South Bend; and by eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

 

She was a member of St. Adalbert Catholic Church, the Rosary Society and Harvest House.

Family and friends may call in the ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, on Monday, April 16, from 4 to 8 p.m., with a Rosary at 4 p.m. Services will take place at St. Adalbert Catholic Church on Tuesday, April 17, at 11 a.m. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
