MISHAWAKA - Julian Brackevelt, 88, of East 12th Street, died at 12;30 p.m. Saturday in his home, after an illness. Mr. Brackevelt retired from Dodge Manufacturing in 1968 after 35 years of service. He was born July 7, 1906, in Mishawaka, and was a lifetime area resident.

On June 29, 1940, in Ege, Ind., he married Agnes V. Demske. She survives with two sons, Don and Ron, both of Mishawaka; two grandchildren, Julia Perkins of Hawaii and Donald Brackevelt of Mishawaka. He was a member of St. Bavo's Church and Dodge Quarter Century Club.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the church. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in Hahn Funeral Home where wake prayers will be at 3:45 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
