MISHAWAKA -- John E. "Belgie'' Braeckelaere, 81, of Englewood, Fla., formerly of Mishawaka, died Saturday in his home.

Survivors include his wife, Alice; two daughters, Mary Nauts of Englewood and Sandra Nemes of Port Charlotte, Fla.; a son, William of Greenville, S.C.; and a brother, Marcel of Mishawaka.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Grove City, Fla. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. today in Lemon Bay Funeral Home, Englewood Chapel.
