Sister M. Mechtildis CSC, 87, of Saint Mary’s Convent, died at 8:20 a.m. Thursday in the convent. She was born July 30, 1903 in Chicago as Camilia Braheny. She entered the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross at st. Mary’s om jan 31, 1926; was received as a novice on Aug. 15, 1926; and professed her vows on Aug. 15, 1928. She is survived by several cousins. She was an elementary school teacher and served in Washington DC, New York City, Indiana And Illinois.

Services will be at 4 p.m. Monday in the Church of Our Lady of Loretto at St. Mary’s with burial in the Community Cemetery at St. Mary’s College. Friends may call in the convent parlor after 3:30 p.m. today Sunday in the convent where a wake will be at 7 p.m.
