Madonna M. Bratina, 86, of Farm Lane, South Bend, Ind., died following an illness at 9:50 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 30, in Regency Place Healthcare and Rehabilitation, South Bend. Mrs. Bratina was born on Feb. 23, 1914, in Fort Wayne, Ind., to Frank R. and Gladys (Wise) Morrow, and had lived in South Bend since 1926, coming from Fort Wayne.

 

On Oct. 3, 1936, in Fort Wayne, as Madonna Morrow, she married Charles R. Bratina, who survives. She is also survived by two daughters, Sharon (Patrick) McManus and Janina (Mitchell Clark) Bratina, both of South Bend; and by three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was a member of the First Church of Christ Scientist, South Bend, and the Mother Church in Boston, Mass.

 

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 2, in the WELSHEIMER FUNERAL HOME NORTH, 17033 Cleveland Road, with Mr. Scott Osthimer officiating. Cremation will take place at Michiana Crematory following the service. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today, Nov. 1, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Church of Christ Scientist, 1237 N. Ironwood Drive, South Bend, IN 46615; or to the charity of donor's choice.
