SOUTH BEND - Lloyd A. Bratton, 89, of Portage Road, died at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in his home. Mr. Bratton retired in 1969 after 20 years in the aviation department of Bendix Corp. and was formerly with Clarke Equipment, Buchanan.
He was born Feb. 10, 1906, in Maroa, Ill. On April 26, 1930, in Texhoma, Okla., he married Thelma Fry. She survives with four sons, Harold of Tippecanoe, Richard and Dale, both of South Bend, and David of Vandalia; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and six step-great-grandchildren.
He was a member of Northwest United Methodist Church.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
