Margaret Braunsdorf

About 1868 – July 21, 1899

South Bend Tribune 7-22-1899

Mrs. Walter Braunsdorf died last Friday night at 9:25 o’clock after an illness of but one week.  The end came unexpected and with a suddenness that has cast gloom on the entire neighborhood which the deceased resided in.

Mrs. Braunsdorf was about 30 years old and had been married but one year and nine months.  She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic church and was one of the most esteemed residents of the east side.  She is survived by her husband and a one week old child.  Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Michael Leonard, two sisters, the Misses Anna and Kate Leonard, and two brothers, Thomas and Edward Leonard, all of Niles. Mich., also survive her.

The funeral arrangements have not yet been made, but the last rites will probably take place Wednesday morning, the funeral cortege leaving the house, 828 East Wayne street for St. Joseph’s church about 8:30 o’clock.  Rev. Father Stoffel will officiate.  The burial will be in the city cemetery.
