Mary E. Braunsdorf

March 25, 1869 – Jan. 2, 1951

Mrs. William H. Braunsdorf, aged 81, formerly of 833 East Miner street, died at 9 p.m. Tuesday in the Moran Nursing home, 2617 South Main street.  She was born in South Bend March 25, 1869, and spent her life in this community. 

 

As Mary E. Luther she was married Sept. 27, 1893, to William H. Braunsdorf, who died last August 24th.  Surviving are three sons, William H. jr., and Joseph A., both of South Bend, and Dr. Robert L., Topeka, Kan., formerly deputy coroner of St. Joseph county; two daughters, Mrs. James J. O’Neill and Mrs. George F. Hennion, both of South Bend; a sister, Mrs. Robert Curtin, South Bend, and 11 grandchildren. 

 

Friends may call in the Hickey funeral home after 7 p.m. today until funeral services at 9 a.m. Friday in St. Joseph’s Catholic church.  Rev. Philip V. Beaghan, C.S.C., pastor will officiate.  Burial will be in Cedar Grove cemetery.  The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.  She was a member of the Altar society of the church and the Royal Neighbors club.

Pallbearers for Mrs. William H. Braunsdorf, 833 East Miner street, who died Tuesday, for whom funeral services will be conducted at 9 a.m. Friday in St. Joseph’s Catholic church, are Armanda Porta, F. Lee Benton, Herman Schumacher, Dr. E. J. Cain, Robert Curtin and Gerald Curtin.  The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. today in the Hickey funeral home.
