Walter L. Braunsdorf, 58, of 1416 N. Logan St., Mishawaka, pressroom superintendent of The Tribune, died at 9:10 p.m. Wednesday in Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient for a day.  He had been in failing health for two and a half years. A Tribune employee for 40 years, he was named assistant pressroom foreman in 1956; pressroom foreman in 1957, and pressroom superintendent in 1967.

 

Born in South Bend Aug, 9, 1912, he had resided in this area for his lifetime.  On March 21, 1936, in South Bend, he was married to Ruth Tuttle, who survives. Also surviving are his mother, Mrs. W. J. Braunsdorf of South Bend, two sons, James A. and T. Dan, both of Mishawaka, three grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Robert Guthrie of South Bend.

 

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the Bubb Funeral Chapel, Mishawaka, where services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday.  Dean Robert MacGill of the Cathedral of St. James will officiate.  Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Joseph County Cancer Assn.
