Richard P. Brennan Sr.

Feb. 19, 1917 - Oct. 31, 2001

Richard P. Brennan Sr., 84, of South Bend, IN., passed away at 1:01 a.m. Wednesday, October 31, 2001, in his home. Mr. Brennan was born on February 19, 1917, in Lima, Ohio. He had lived in South Bend since 1960, coming from Grand Rapids, MI. He was formerly employed with Graver Tank Company, East Chicago, IN, and the former C.A. Schrader Company, Mishawaka, IN. After retirement he worked as a consultant for the former Mitchell Welding and I ndustrial Metal-Fab, Inc. On May 25, 1940, in Lima, OH, he married Lois R. Hannan, who survives. Also surviving are his children, Mary D. (Michael) Otolski of South Bend, IN., Elizabeth Anne (Stephan) Kurkul of Cleveland, OH, Richard P. (Nancy) Brennan, Jr. of Billings, MT, Terry M. Brennan of Berrien Springs, MI; eight grandchildren, Laura Brennan, Lisa (Troy) Thomas, Meghan Otolski, Matthew (Becky) Otolski, Maureen Otolski, Mitchell Otolski, Emily C otton, John C otton; and three great-grandchildren, Hadley and Tucker Thomas, and Emily Otolski. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 3, 2001, in Corpus Christi Church. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, where a parish rosary will be prayed at 5:00 p.m. Mr. Brennan was a longtime member of Corpus Christi Parish. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Santa Maria Council #553 and the Father J.A. Nieuwland General Assembly 4th Degree.
