Brother Duncan Briggmann CSC, 80, of Columba Hall, Notre Dame, died there Friday. For 38 years, his entire active career, he was a secretary and accountant at Ave Maria Press, Notre Dame before retiring four years ago. He was born on June 23, 1900 In Philadelphia.

 

He entered the Holy Cross Congregation on Oct. 30, 1936 at Watertown, Wis., and made his perpetual profession of vows on Aug. 16, 1941 at Notre Dame. Survivors include a nephew Harry Briggmann, and a niece, Mrs. Joseph McCool, both of Philadelphia.

 

Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Columba Hall. There also will be a wake service at 7:30 p.m. Sundat at Holy Cross Brothers Center, Notre Dame, in the chapel of St. Joseph. Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Monday in the Brothers’ Chapel. There will be a celebrated mass offered with Rev. John Reedy CSC as celebrant, and Rev. William Simmons CSC, who will be the homilist. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery on the campus og Holy Cross Junior College, Notre Dame
