Wilson J. (Bill) Brinley

December 24, 1917 - June 24, 1974

Wilson J. (Bill) Brinley, 56, of 2119 Portage Ave., died at 2:40 pm Monday in his home of an apparent heart attack.  Mr. Brinley was the owner of the Bill Brinley Landscaping Service.

Born December 24, 1917, in South Bend, he had lived here all his life.  On July 3, 1948 in South Bend, he married Eleanor Lewiecki, who survives.  Also surviving are a son, W. Charles, at home; two daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Strauss of Brunswick GA and Mrs. Sandra Nedisvilla of Gulfport FL; three grandchildren; a brother, Cecil of Vandalia MI, and three sisters Mrs. Bernice Sasse of Key West FL, Mrs. Ruth Donnelly of Niles and Mrs. Maybelle Adams of South Bend.

Friends may call from 7 to 9pm today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm Wednesday in the Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St.  Mrs. Brinley was a director of the Izak Walton League.  He was also a member of Lodge 235, BPOE; the Pioneer Auto Assn., and was a WW II Air Force veteran.

FUNERAL NOTES

Services for Wilson J. (Bill) Brinley, 56, of 2119 Portage Ave., who died at 2:40pm Monday in his home of an apparent heart attack, will be at 11am Thursday inthe Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St. Rev. James Pender of the United Methodist Church will officiate.  Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.  Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm today in the funeral home.
